This Order may be cited as the Suppression of Terrorism Act 1978 (Application of Provisions) (India) Order 1993 and shall come into force on the date, to be notified in the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes, on which the Extradition Treaty between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of the Republic of India enters into force.
The provisions of the Suppression of Terrorism Act 1978 and section 24(1) (a) and (2) (a) of the Extradition Act 1989 shall apply in relation to India as they apply in relation to a convention country.
