Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Education (St Austell Sixth Form College and Mid-Cornwall College) (Dissolution) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 2nd April 1993.

Section 2

In this Order references to St Austell Sixth Form College, Mid-Cornwall College and St Austell College are to the further education corporations respectively known by those names.

Section 3

On 2nd April 1993 St Austell Sixth Form College and Mid-Cornwall College shall be dissolved and all of their respective property, rights and liabilities shall be transferred to St Austell College (being a body corporate established for purposes which include the provision of educational facilities or services).

Section 4

Section 26(2), (3) and (4) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 shall apply to any person employed immediately before 2nd April 1993 by St Austell Sixth Form College or Mid-Cornwall College as if the references in that section—

(a) to a person to whom that section applies were to a person so employed;

(b) to the operative date were to 2nd April 1993;

(c) to the transferor were to St Austell Sixth Form College or Mid-Cornwall College (as the case may be); and

(d) to the corporation were to St Austell College.
