Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the River Tay Catchment Area Protection (Renewal) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 22nd February 1993.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order—

“the 1986 Order ” means the River Tay Catchment Area Protection Order 1986 ;

“the 1990 Order ” means the River Tay Catchment Area Protection (Renewal) Order 1990 .

Section 3 Renewal of Order

The 1990 Order is hereby renewed.

Section 4 Prohibition

During the period from 22nd February 1993 to 21st February 1996, both dates inclusive, fishing for or taking freshwater fish in the inland waters in the area prescribed in article 4 of the 1986 Order, without legal right or without written permission from a person having such a right, is hereby prohibited.
