Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Charities (Designated Religious Bodies) (Scotland) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 7th December 1993.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order–

“ the Act ” means the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990; and

“recognised body” has the meaning given by section 1 of the Act.

Section 3 Designated Religious Bodies

The Secretary of State hereby designates for the purposes of section 3 of the Act the recognised bodies which are specified in the Schedule to this Order.
