Section 1
This Order may be cited as the State Immunity (Federal States) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 7th December 1993.

Section 2
The provisions of Part I of the State Immunity Act 1978 shall apply to the following constituent territories of the Federal Republic of Germany as they apply to a State: Baden–Wu rttemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North–Rhine/Westphalia, Rhineland– Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Saxony–Anhalt, Schleswig–Holstein and Thuringia.
