Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Goods Vehicles (Operators' Licences, Qualifications and Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1st April 1993.

Section 2

(1) The Goods Vehicles (Operators' Licences, Qualifications and Fees) Regulations 1984 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 35(1A)—

(a) for the words “1st October 1991” there shall be substituted the words “1st April 1993”; and

(b) in sub-paragraph (a) for “£70” there shall be substituted “£170”.

(3) In regulation 35(1B)—

(a) after the word “licence” there shall be inserted the words “on or after 1st April 1993”; and

(b) in sub-paragraph (b) for “£70” there shall be substituted “£170”.

Section 3

Nothing in regulation 2 of these Regulations affects the fee payable in respect of the grant or variation of a licence before 1st April 1993.
