Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service Trusts (Membership and Procedure) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 30th March 1993.

(2) In these Regulations the “ principal Regulations ” means the National Health Service Trusts (Membership and Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1991( ).

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Regulations

In paragraph 1 of regulation 3 of the principal Regulations (qualification for appointment as executive director) in head (c) sub-heads (i), (ii) and (iii) are deleted and there are substituted the following sub-heads:—

(i) a medical or a dental practitioner; and

(ii) a registered nurse or registered midwife within the meaning of section 10(7) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979( ).
