Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting (Term of Office of Members) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st April 1993.

(2) In this Order “the Council” means the United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting.

Section 2 Term of Office of Members of the Council

Appointment as a member of the Council shall be for a period of five years.

Section 3 Revocation

The Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979 (Membership of Central Council) Order 1982 is hereby revoked.
