Section 1Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Friendly Societies (Qualifications of Actuaries) Regulations 1993, and shall come into force on 19th February 1993.

Section 2Prescribed qualifications

It is prescribed that a person qualified for appointment as actuary to an incorporated friendly society under section 44 of the Friendly Societies Act 1992 shall be a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries or of the Faculty of Actuaries and shall have attained the age of 30 years.
