Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Assured Tenancies (Rent Information) (Scotland) Amendment Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st April 1993.

Section 2 Amendment of Assured Tenancies (Rent Information) (Scotland) Order 1989

The Schedule to the Assured Tenancies (Rent Information) (Scotland) Order 1989 shall be amended as follows:—

(a) at the end of paragraph 6 insert the following paragraph:—

(6A) Any amount of the rent which is attributable to the tenant’s liability to make payments to the landlord in respect of the council tax payable by the landlord.

(b) in paragraph 7, omit “or” and at the end of the paragraph add “or (d) an increase under section 25A of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 to take account of the tenant’s liability to make payments to the landlord in respect of the council tax payable by the landlord.”.
