Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Combined Probation Areas (Staffordshire) Order 1993.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st April 1993, save that, for the purpose of making appointments to the probation committee for the Staffordshire Probation Area to take effect on that date, this Order shall come into force forthwith.

Section 2

That part of Schedule 2 to the Combined Probation Areas Order 1986 which relates to the Staffordshire Probation Area shall be amended by substituting in column 3—

(a) “1” for “2” in the entry in respect of the petty sessions area of Burton upon Trent;

(b) “2” for “5” in the entry in respect of the petty sessions area of Mid-Staffordshire;

(c) “2” for “3” in the entry in respect of the petty sessions area of Newcastle-under-Lyme and Pirehill North;

(d) “1” for “2” in the entry in respect of the petty sessions area of Staffordshire Moorlands; and

(e) “4” for “6” in the entry in respect of the petty sessions area of Stoke-on-Trent.
