This Order may be cited as the A23 Trunk Road (London Road, Croydon) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 25th January 1993.

The A23 Trunk Road (London Road, Croydon) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1993
In this Order—
“the marginal reserve” means that part of the trunk road which separates its main carriageway from the service road;
“the service road” means that length of the trunk road which lies on the west side of the marginal reserve between the northern kerbline of Goldwell Road and a point 111 metres north of that kerbline; and
“the trunk road” means the A23 Trunk Road in the London Borough of Croydon, known as London Road.
The Croydon (Prescribed Route) (No.1) Traffic Order 1976 is hereby revoked.
No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in the service road in any direction other than from south to north.
No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in any direction other than from east to west through the gap in the marginal reserve which lies 67 metres north of the northern kerbline of Goldwell Road.
No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in any direction other than from west to east through the gap in the marginal reserve which lies 111 metres north of the northern kerbline of Goldwell Road.
Nothing in this Order shall apply(a)to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a constable in uniform or of a traffic warden; or (b)to a vehicle being used for police, ambulance, or fire brigade purposes.
