Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the British Railways Act 1990 (Arpley Chord) (Extension of Time) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 20th April 1994.

Section 2 Extension of time for the compulsory purchase of certain land

(1) The period now limited by section 28 of the British Railways Act 1990 (“the 1990 Act ”) for the compulsory purchase of the land mentioned in paragraph (2) below is hereby extended until and including 31st December 1999.

(2) The land referred to in paragraph (1) above is the land authorised to be purchased by section 25 (purchase of land) or 26 (purchase of rights over land) of the 1990 Act for the purposes of Work No. 5 (Railway at Warrington) authorised by section 5 of the 1990 Act.
