Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (District Health Authorities)(No. 2) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st June 1994.

Section 2Abolition of Authorities
Newcastle Health Authority and North Tyneside Health Authority are hereby bolished.
Section 3Establishment and name of new Authority
A District Health Authority, to be called Newcastle and North Tyneside Health Authority, is hereby established for Newcastle and North Tyneside District.
Section 4Establishment and name of new Authority
In consequence of articles 2 and 3 of this Order, the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1990 shall be amended by the omission fromPart I of Schedule 1 of the entries in columns (1) and (2) relating to Newcastle District and North Tyneside District, and the insertion in those columns, immediately before the entries relating to Northumberland District, of the following entries:—
