Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Vale of Glamorgan (Barry and Dinas Powys Communities) Order 1994.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st March 1994 for any purpose set out in regulation 4(1) (Coming into operation of order) of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 1976 .

(3) For all other purposes this Order shall come into force on 1st April 1994.

Section 2 Changes in area

The part of the community of Dinas Powys which is shown hatched in black on the boundary map prepared by the Welsh Office, marked “Map of the Vale of Glamorgan (Barry and Dinas Powys Communities) Order 1994” shall–

(a) be transferred to the community of Barry;

(b) form part of the Cadoc ward of that community;

(c) form part of the Cadoc ward of the borough of Vale of Glamorgan; and

(d) form part of the Cadoc electoral division of the county of South Glamorgan.
