Section 1Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the United Nations Arms Embargoes (Amendment) (Rwanda) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 24th June 1994.

(2) In this Order “ the Order ” means the United Nations Arms Embargoes (Liberia, Somalia and the Former Yugoslavia) Order 1993 .

Section 2Amendment of Article 2 of the Order

The definition of “prohibited destination” in Article 2 of the Order shall be replaced by the following—

“prohibited destination” means Liberia, Somalia, the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda;

Section 3Amendment of Article 8(8) of, and paragraph 4 of the Schedule to, the Order

In paragraph (8)(c) of Article 8 of the Order and in paragraph 4(c) of the Schedule to the Order the words “or Rwanda” shall be inserted after the words “the former Yugoslavia”.
