Section 1Citation and interpretation
(1) This Order may be cited as the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1994.
(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990.

Section 2Appointed days
(1) 5th July 1994 is the day appointed for the coming into force of subsections (9) and (10) of section 30 of the Act (parental orders in favour of gamete donors) and of section 48(1) of the Act (extent) so far as it relates to those subsections.
(2) 1st November 1994 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the remaining provisions of section 30 of the Act (parental orders in favour of gamete donors) and section 48(1) of the Act (extent) so far as it relates to those provisions.
