Section 1 Citation and Commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Lerwick Harbour Revision Order 1994 and shall come into force on 11th July 1994.

(2) The Lerwick Harbour Acts and Orders 1877 to 1993 and this Order may be cited together as the Lerwick Harbour Acts and Orders 1877 to 1994 (hereinafter referred to as “the Harbour Acts and Orders”).

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires:

“ electoral divisions of the Shetland Islands Area ” means the electoral divisions into which the Shetlands Islands Area is divided by the Shetland Islands Area (Electoral Arrangements) Order 1992 ;

“ Order of 1975 ” means the Lerwick Harbour (Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 1975 ;

“the Trustees” means the Trustees of the port and harbour of Lerwick for the time being acting under the Harbour Acts and Orders.

Section 3 Amendment of Order of 1975

Section 5(1) of the Order of 1975 shall be amended by omitting the word “six” where it secondly appears.

Section 4 Amendment of Order of 1975

For the purposes only of section 5(1) of the Order of 1975 (as hereby amended) “the electoral divisions of Lerwick” means such of the electoral divisions of the Shetland Islands Area as include “Lerwick” in their names, excluding the division named “Lerwick Harbour and Bressay”.
