Section 1
These Regulations may be cited as the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 9th August 1994.

Section 2
In section 97(7) of the Transport Act 1968 , in the definition of “the Community Recording Equipment Regulation”, for the words from “as amended” to “article 3 of” there shall be substituted the words “as it has effect in accordance with”, and after the words “16th November 1990 and” there shall be inserted the words “Commission Regulation ( EEC ) No. 3688/92 of 21st December 1992 , and”.

In regulation 1(3) of the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) Regulations 1979 , in the definition of “the Community Recording Equipment Regulation”, for the words from “as amended” to “article 3 of” there shall be substituted the words “as it has effect in accordance with”, and after the words “16th November 1990 and” there shall be inserted the words “Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 3688/92 of 21st December 1992, and”.
