Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Weights and Measures (Intoxicating Liquor) (Amendment) Order 1994 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2 Amendment of the Weights and Measures Act 1985

The Weights and Measures Act 1985 shall be amended as follows—

(a) in section 8 (units of measurement, weights and measures lawful for use for trade) in subsection (2)(c) “35,” shall be inserted before “125,”; and

(b) in Schedule 3 (measures and weights lawful for use for trade) in paragraph 2 of Part IV “35 millilitres” shall be inserted between “50 millilitres” and “25 millilitres”.

Section 3 Amendment of the Weights and Measures (Intoxicating Liquor) Order 1988

The Weights and Measures (Intoxicating Liquor) Order 1988 shall be amended in article 3 in paragraph (1)(a) by the substitution for “and ⅙ gill or 25 ml” of “, ⅙ gill, 25 ml or 35 ml”.
