Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Scheme may be cited as the Personal Injuries (Civilians) Amendment (No. 2) Scheme 1994 and shall come into force on 3rd October 1994.

(2) In this Scheme, the expression “the principal Scheme” means the Personal Injuries (Civilians) Scheme 1983 .

Section 2 Amendment of article 27 of the principal Scheme

In article 27 of the principal Scheme (pensions to widows), after paragraph (2) there shall be added the following paragraph—

(3) at the supplementary rate specified in paragraph 1(c) of the said Schedule in both the cases specified in paragraphs (1) and (2) of this article.

Section 3 Amendment of Schedule 4 to the principal Scheme

After paragraph 1(b) of Schedule 4 to the principal Scheme (rates of pension and allowance payable in respect of death:widows) there shall be added the following paragraph—

(c) under article 27(3) £48.70 per week
