Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) (No. 3) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st October 1994.

Section 2 Abolition of Authorities

Bolton Health Authority and Wigan Health Authority are hereby abolished.

Section 3 Establishment and name of new Authority

A District Health Authority, to be called Wigan and Bolton Health Authority, is hereby established for Wigan and Bolton District which was determined by the National Health Service (Determination of Districts) (No. 3) Order 1994 .

Section 4 Amendment of the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1990

In consequence of articles 2 and 3 of this Order, Part 8 of Schedule 1 to the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1990 shall be amended by the omission of the entries in columns (1) and (2) relating to Bolton District and Wigan District, and the insertion in those columns, immediately before the entries relating to Wirral District, of the following entries:—
