Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 1993 (Commencement No.5) Order 1994.

Section 2

The provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1993 (“the 1993 Act ”) referred to in the left-hand column of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters described in the right-hand column of the Schedule) shall come into force on 1st March 1994.

Section 3

(1) Subject to paragraphs (2) and (3) below, this Order extends to the United Kingdom.

(2) So far as relating to the following provisions of the 1993 Act, namely, paragraph 4 of Schedule 5 and, so far as relating to the Company Securities (Insider Dealing) Act 1985 and to the Companies Act 1989 , Schedule 6, this Order extends to Great Britain only.

(3) So far as relating to the following provisions of the 1993 Act, namely, paragraphs 18 to 22 of Schedule 5 and Part II (save as applying to the Banking Coordination (Second Council Directive) Regulations 1992 ) of Schedule 6, this Order extends to Northern Ireland only.
