The Reconstitution of the Buckingham Internal Drainage Board Order 1994

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Reconstitution of the Buckingham Internal Drainage Board Order 1994 and shall, unless subject to special Parliamentary procedure, come into force on the date of its confirmation by the Minister, in accordance with paragraph 5(1) of Schedule 3 to the 1991 Act.

Section 2

The Scheme is hereby confirmed.

Section 3

The expenses of the Minister in connection with the making and confirmation of this Order shall be borne by the National Rivers Authority.

Section 1

This Scheme shall come into force one month after the date of confirmation of the Order confirming this Scheme.

Section 2

The Internal Drainage Board as constituted by Paragraph 2 of the Scheme confirmed by the Great Ouse River Board (Buckingham Internal Drainage District) Order 1959 S.I. 1960/689 (“the 1960 Order ”) shall be reconstituted such that the number of elected members shall be 10, provided that the existing members of the Internal Drainage Board shall continue in office until the date of the first meeting of the new members under paragraph 3(2) of Schedule 2 to the Land Drainage Act 1991.

Section 3

The existing rights, powers, duties, liabilities, obligations and property (including deeds, maps, books, papers and other documents) of the Buckingham Internal Drainage Board as constituted by the 1960 Order shall be the rights, powers, duties, liabilities, obligations and property of the Internal Drainage Board as reconstituted by the Scheme.
