Section 1 Title, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Farm and Conservation Grant (Amendment) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 30th November 1994.

(2) In these Regulations—

(a) “the principal Regulations ” means the Farm and Conservation Grant Regulations 1991 ;

(b) “the appropriate Minister” has the same meaning as in regulation 2(1) of the principal Regulations.

Section 2 Savings

Regulation 4 below shall not apply to—

(a) any improvement plan approved under the principal Regulations before 30th November 1994; or

(b) any request for the variation of such a plan or any application for approval of an improvement plan, received before that date by the appropriate Minister,

and that provision of these Regulations shall not affect the operation of the principal Regulations in relation to any such plan, request or application.

Section 3 Amendment of the principal Regulations

The principal Regulations shall be further amended in accordance with regulation 4 below.

Section 4 Amendment of the principal Regulations

In Schedule 1 (“ELIGIBLE AGRICULTURAL WORKS, FACILITIES AND TRANSACTIONS AND RATES OF GRANT”) paragraph 1(b) shall be deleted.
