Section 1 Citation, commencement, extent and interpretation

(1) These Rules may be cited as the Firearms (Scotland) Amendment Rules 1994 and shall come into force on 1st January 1995.

(2) These Rules extend to Scotland only.

(3) In these Rules, “the 1989 Rules ” means the Firearms (Scotland) Rules 1989 .

Section 2 Amendment of the 1989 Rules

In the prescribed form of firearm certificate set out in Part II of Schedule 1 to the 1989 Rules, for the word “three” wherever it occurs, there shall be substituted the word “five”.

Section 3 Application

These Rules shall apply only in respect of a firearm certificate granted or renewed on or after 1st January 1995.
