Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 8th February 1994.

Section 2 Designation of bodies

Each of the following bodies, being a person appearing to the Secretary of State for Wales and the Secretary of State for the Environment to be exercising functionsof a public nature, shall be a public body for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 in its application to England and Wales:

Development Board for Rural Wales

Welsh Development Agency

Section 3 Restrictions on agreements which may be entered into

Agreements which may be entered into by a body by virtue of this Order shall be restricted to agreements with a local authority for the provision of administrative, professional or technical services, by that authority to that body.
