Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 31st March 1994.

Section 2

The Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1992 shall be amended in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations.

Section 3

In regulation 2(1) for the definition of “the Directive” there shall be substituted the following definition—

“the Directive” means Council Directive 70/156/ EEC as amended by Council Directives 87/403/EEC and 92/53/EEC and Commission Directive 93/81/EEC ;

Section 4

In regulation 14(3) for the words “for the purposes of this paragraph” there shall be substituted “for the purposes of this regulation”.

Section 5

In Schedule 1—

(a) for item 33 there shall be substituted the following item—
