Section 1 Citation, commencement, application and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Education (National Curriculum) (Assessment Arrangements for English, Welsh, Mathematics and Science) (Key Stage 3) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st April 1994.

(2) This Order applies to maintained schools in Wales only.

(3) In this Order, the principal Order means the Education (National Curriculum) (Assessment Arrangements for English, Welsh, Mathematics and Science) (Key Stage 3) (Wales) Order 1993 .

Section 2 Amendment of principal Order

In article 3(1) of the principal Order, there shall be substituted for the definition of “the assessment authority”, the following definition:

“the assessment authority” means the Awdurdod Cwricwlwm ac Asesu Cymru or the Curriculum and Assessment Authority for Wales and includes any person or body appointed by that authority to discharge its functions under this Order;
