The (M1) Motorway (Lockington) Connecting Roads Scheme 1994

Section 1

This Scheme may be cited as the (M1) Motorway (Lockington) Connecting Roads Scheme 1994 and shall come into force on 29th March 1994.

Section 2

In this Scheme:

(a) “connecting road” means a special road along a route described in the Schedule to this Scheme;

(b) “the Motorway” means the M1 Motorway;

(c) “the plan” means the plan folio, containing one site plan numbered HA16/EM7 marked “The (M1) Motor– way (Lockington) Connecting Roads Scheme 1994”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY;

(d) “the special roads” means each connecting road; and

(e) “the main new road” means the new trunk road which the Secretary of State for Transport proposes to construct, referred to in article 2(2)(i) of the A564 Trunk Road (Stoke–Derby Route) (Derby Southern Bypass and Slip Road) ( No. 3) Order 1994 .

Section 3

The Secretary of State is authorised to provide the special roads for the exclusive use of traffic of Classes I and II of the classes of traffic set out in Schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980.

Section 4

The centre line of each of the special roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan.

Section 5

Each of the special roads shall become a trunk road on the date when this Scheme comes into force.

Section 1

A route from the southbound carriageway of the main new road to the northbound carriageway of the Motorway, given the number 1 on the plan.

Section 2

A route from the southbound carriageway of the Motorway to a roundabout on the main new road, given the number 2 on the plan.
