Section 1

The lengths of the A516 Trunk Road, the A5111 Trunk Road and the A6 Trunk Road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk roads and shall be classified as classified roads as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Derbyshire that the new trunk roads are open for through traffic.

Section 2

In this Order–

(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;

(2)

(i) “classified road” as a classification for a highway, means that the highway is not a principal road for the purpose of enactments or instruments which refer to high– ways classified as principal roads but is a classified road for the purpose of every enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State and which does not specifically refer to their classification as principal roads;

(ii) “the deposited plan” means the plan numbered HA10/EM75 marked “The A564 Trunk Road (Stoke–Derby Route) (Derby Southern Bypass) (Detrunking) (No. 2) Order 1994”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY;

(iii) “the new trunk roads” means the highways to be constructed by the Secretary of State in pursuance of the A564 Trunk Road (Stoke–Derby Route) (Derby Southern Bypass, Derby Spur and Junctions) Order 1992 ;

(iv) “the A6 Trunk Road” means the A6 London–Inverness Trunk Road;

(v) “the A5111 Trunk Road” means the A5111 Nottingham–Derby–Stoke–on– Trent Trunk Road known as the Derby Ring Road; and

(vi) “the A516 Trunk Road” means the A516 Nottingham–Derby–Stoke–on– Trent Trunk Road known as Uttoxeter Road.

Section 3

This Order shall come into force on 29th March 1994 and may be cited as the A564 Trunk Road (Stoke–Derby Route) (Derby Southern Bypass) (Detrunking) (No. 2) Order 1994.

Section 1

The A5111 (Raynesway) from a point about 130 metres north of its junction with Alvaston Street to the roundabout which forms its junction with the A6 Trunk Road (Shardlow Road).

Section 2

The A6 Trunk Road (Shardlow Road) from the roundabout which forms its junction with the A5111 (Raynesway) to its junction with the A5111 (Harvey Road).

Section 3

The A5111 from its junction with the A6 Trunk Road (Shardlow Road) to its junction with the A516 Trunk Road (Uttoxeter Road), known variously along this length as Harvey Road, Osmaston Park Road, Newdigate Street, Kenilworth Avenue, Warwick Avenue and Manor Road.

Section 4

The A5111 (Kingsway) from its junction with the A516 (Uttoxeter Road) to its junction with the A38 Trunk Road.

Section 5

The A516 Trunk Road from its junction with the A5111 (Manor Road and Kingsway) to the western side of the roundabout north–west of the City Hospital and including that roundabout.
