Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exmption) (Broxtowe Borough Council and Harrogate Borough Council) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 20th April 1994.

Section 2 Exemption of refuse collection work carried out by the Broxtowe Borough Council

The collection of refuse by the Broxtowe Borough Council shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out in their area before 31st July 1996.

Section 3 Exemption of ground maintenance work carried out by the Harrogate Borough Council

The maintenance of ground by the Harrogate Borough Council shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out within the burial grounds and cemeteries in their area before 1st January 1995.
