Section 1

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Advice and Assistance (Financial Conditions) (Scotland) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 11th April 1994.

(2) In these Regulations, “ the Act ” means the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986.

Section 2

These Regulations shall apply only in relation to any case where an application for advice and assistance is granted on or after 11th April 1994.

Section 3

For the weekly sum of £147 specified in section 8(a) of the Act , there shall be substituted the weekly sum of £153.

Section 4

For the weekly sum of £61 specified in section 11(2)(a) of the Act , there shall be substituted the weekly sum of £63.

Section 5

The maximum amount of fees or outlays which a client shall be liable to pay under section 11(2) of the Act , where his disposable income falls within a range specified in the first column of the following table, shall be the amount specified in relation to that range in the second column:—

(1) Exceeding £63 but not exceeding £70 a week

(2) Exceeding £70 but not exceeding £77 a week

(3) Exceeding £77 but not exceeding £84 a week

(4) Exceeding £84 but not exceeding £91 a week

(5) Exceeding £91 but not exceeding £98 a week

(6) Exceeding £98 but not exceeding £105 a week

(7) Exceeding £105 but not exceeding £112 a week

(8) Exceeding £112 but not exceeding £119 a week

(9) Exceeding £119 but not exceeding £126 a week

(10) Exceeding £126 but not exceeding £133 a week

(11) Exceeding £133 but not exceeding £140 a week

(12) Exceeding £140 but not exceeding £153 a week

Section 6

The Advice and Assistance (Financial Conditions) (Scotland) Regulations 1993 are hereby revoked.
