Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (Scotland) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st May 1995.

(2) This Order shall extend to Scotland only.

Section 2

Section 20(3) of the Gaming Act 1968 (which specifies the maximum permitted aggregate winnings in respect of games of bingo played in one week simultaneously on different club premises) shall have effect with the substitution, for the reference in that subsection to the sum of £1000 , of a reference to the sum of £25,000.

Section 3

Section 20(8) of the Gaming Act 1968 (which specifies the maximum amount by which weekly winnings on any particular bingo club premises may exceed the aggregate amount of the stakes hazarded) shall have effect with the substitution, for the reference in that subsection to the sum of £250 , of a reference to the sum of £5,000.

Section 4

In section 21(2) of the Gaming Act 1968 (conditions on which gaming for prizes is permitted at licensed club premises) paragraphs (b) and (e) shall have effect as if, for the sum of £2.50 specified in each of those paragraphs, there were substituted the sum of £30.00.

Section 5

The Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (Scotland) Order 1993 and the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (Scotland) Order 1994 are hereby revoked.
