Section 1 Citation, commencment and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Publication of Staffing Information) (England) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 1st September 1995.

(2) In these Regulations “section 2” means section 2 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980.

Section 2 Requirement to publish code

(1) Authorities in England to whom section 2 applies are required to publish the information specified in the Local Government (Publication of Staffing Information) (England) Code 1995 in the manner and form and on the occasions specified in that Code.

(2) In this regulation “the Local Government (Publication of Staffing Information) (England) Code 1995” means the code set out in the Annex to the Department of the Environment Circular 14/95, dated 28th July 1995, issued by the Secretary of State for the Environment under section 2 and published by Her Majesty’s Stationery Office.
