Section 1Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (School Attendance Order) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 1st September 1995.

Section 1Revocation

The School Attendance Order Regulations 1944 shall be revoked.

Section 2Revocation

The form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations is prescribed as the form of a school attendance order which is to be served upon the parent of a child of compulsory school age by a local education authority under section 192(3) of the Education Act 1993.
