Section 1 Citation and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Pensions Act 1995 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1995.

Section 2 Appointed day

The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Pensions Act 1995 is 2nd October 1995—

section 90 (unpaid contributions in cases of insolvency);

section 156 (employment of staff by the Pensions Ombudsman);

section 169 (extensions of Pensions Appeal Tribunals Act 1943) ;

section 172, and sections 174 and 175 in so far as they relate to that section, (information about public service schemes);

paragraph 1 of Schedule 6, and section 173 in so far as it relates to that paragraph, (amendment to the Public Records Act 1958) .
