Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) (Meat Hygiene) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 8th November 1995.

Section 2Designation of public body
The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in relation to England, and the Secretary of State in relation to Scotland and Wales, being persons appearing to the Secretary of State to be exercising functions of a public nature, shall be public bodies for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 to the extent that the functions exercised by those persons relate to inspections of meat for the purposes of hygiene or of animals for the purposes of welfare.
