Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Changes for England (Designation of Authorities) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st December 1995.

Section 2 Designated authorities: transfer of property etc.

In relation to a local authority named in column (1) of the following Table which is to be wound up and dissolved on 1st April 1996 the corresponding local authority named in column (2) of the Table is specified as the designated authority for the purposes of regulation 6(8) and Part III of the Local Government Changes for England (Property Transfer and Transitional Payments) Regulations 1995 —

In the Humberside (Structural Change) Order 1995, for article 15 (designated authority) substitute—

The council of the district of the East Riding of Yorkshire is specified as the designated authority in relation to the County Council and the Boothferry Borough Council for the purposes of the Local Government Changes for England (Finance) Regulations 1994 .
