Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Invalid Care Allowance) Amendment Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 12th December 1995.

Section 2 Amendment of the Social Security (Invalid Care Allowance) Regulations 1976

In paragraph (2) of regulation 8 of the Social Security (Invalid Care Allowance) Regulations 1976 —

(a) at the end of sub-paragraph (a) there is added the word “and”; and

(b) sub-paragraph (b) is revoked.

Section 3 Saving provision

In a case where regulation 8(2)(b) of the Social Security (Invalid Care Allowance) Regulations 1976 applied immediately before the coming into force of these Regulations that regulation shall continue to apply during any period beginning with that date throughout which the conditions of that regulation are satisfied, as if regulation 2 of these Regulations had not been made.
