Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Motorways Traffic (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 1st January 1996.

(2) These Regulations shall extend to Scotland only.

Section 2 Amendment of the Motorways Traffic (Scotland) Regulations 1995

(1) Regulation 11 (restriction on use of right-hand lane) of the Motorways Traffic (Scotland) Regulations 1995 shall be amended as follows:—

(a) in paragraph (1) for sub-paragraph (b) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph:—

(b) a passenger vehicle which is constructed or adapted to carry more than eight seated passengers in addition to the driver, the maximum laden weight of which exceeds 7.5 tonnes;

(2) For paragraph (5) there shall be substituted the following paragraph:—

(5) In this regulation “goods vehicle”, “passenger vehicle” and “maximum laden weight” have the same meanings as in Schedule 6 to the 1984 Act.
