Section 1Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Specified Periods) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 1st January 1996.

Section 2Amendment of Regulations

The Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Specified Periods) (England) Regulations 1995 (“the Regulations”) shall be amended as follows—
(a) In regulation 3 (application), omit the words “including a statement of the period during which the work is to be carried out”; and
(b) in regulation 4 (disapplication of previous regulations) insert the words “regulation 3 of” before the words “the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Competition) (England) Regulations 1990”.
