Section 1

The Borough of Trafford (A5063 Trafford Road/White City Gyratory System Canal Bridges) Scheme 1993 is hereby confirmed.

Section 2

The said scheme as confirmed (hereinafter referred to as “the Scheme”) is set out in the Schedule hereto, and copies of the scheme with its accompanying plans are deposited at the offices of the Department of Transport, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P3PY and at the offices of Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, Greater Manchester M32 0YT.

Section 3

The Scheme will become operative on the date on which notice that it has been confirmed is first published in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Highways Act 1980.

Section 4

This Instrument may be cited as Borough of Trafford (A5063 Trafford Road/White City Gyratory System Canal Bridges) Scheme 1993 Confirmation Instrument 1995.

Section 1

The Council are authorised to construct over the navigable waters of the Bridgewater Canal the bridges specified in the Schedules to this Scheme as part of the highways which they are proposing to construct at the A5063 Trafford Road/White City Gyratory System in the area of Stretford and Old Trafford in the said Borough of Trafford.

Section 2

The Council are also authorised in connection with the construction of the said bridges to divert by reduction of the width that part of the navigable watercourse specified in the said Schedules in the manner specified in these Schedules.

Section 3

This Scheme may be cited as “The Borough of Trafford (A5063 Trafford Road/White City Gyratory System Canal Bridges) Scheme 1993”.
