Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 1st April 1995.

(2) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires—

“the Principal Regulations ” means the Trade Unions and Employers' Associations (Amalgamations, etc. ) Regulations 1975 :

“the 1992 Act ” means the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.

Section 2Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

In paragraph (1) of regulation 11 of the Principal Regulations (fees to accompany an application for approval of a proposed instrument of amalgamation or transfer) for the words “£1518” there shall be substituted the words “£1543”.

Section 3Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

In paragraph (2) of regulation 11 of the Principal Regulations for the words “£86” there shall be substituted the words “£89” (fee on an application for approval of a change of name) and for the words “£50” there shall be substituted the words “£43” (fee for every inspection on the same day of documents kept by the Certification Officer under Chapter VII of Part 1 of the 1992 Act relating to one and the same organisation).

Section 4Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

In regulation 12 of the Principal Regulations (fee for the entry of the name of an amalgamated organisation in the lists maintained by the Certification Officer where the name of each of the amalgamating organisations is already so entered) for the words “£50” there shall be substituted the words “£51”.

Section 5Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

The fee of £132 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 3(2) of the 1992 Act (fee on application of an organisation of workers to have its name entered in the list of trade unions).

Section 6Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

The fee of £132 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 124(2) of the 1992 Act (fee on application of an organisation of employers to have its name entered in the list of employers' associations).

Section 7Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

The fee of £2583 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 6(1) of the 1992 Act (fee on application by a trade union for a certificate of independence).

Section 8Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

The Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1994 are hereby revoked.
