Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Time Off for Public Duties Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st April 1995.

Section 2Addition of members of police authorities

Section 29(1) of the Employment Protection (Consolidation) Act 1978 shall be modified by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (bb)—

(bc) a member of a police authority appointed under Schedule 1B to the Police Act 1964 ;
