Section 1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Jobseekers Act 1995 (Commencement No.2) Order 1996.

Section 2 Appointed Day

22nd April 1996 is the day appointed for the coming into force of—

(a) paragraphs 38, 39, 40, 44, 45, 47, 52, 67, 68, 69, 70, 73, 75 and 76 of Schedule 2 to the Jobseekers Act 1995 (which contain amendments to the Administration Act and the Local Government Finance Act 1992 ); and

(b) section 41(4) of that Act in so far as it relates to those paragraphs.

Section 3 Amendment of Commencement Order No.1

In article 2(g) of the Jobseekers Act 1995 (Commencement No.1) Order 1995 , for the words “section 41(5)” there shall be substituted the words “section 41(4)”.
