Section 1

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Legal Advice and Assistance at Police Stations (Remuneration) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 8th July 1996.

(2) These Regulations shall apply for the purposes of work done on or after 8th July 1996 to which the Legal Advice and Assistance at Police Stations (Remuneration) Regulations 1989 apply.

Section 2

The Schedule to the Legal Advice and Assistance at Police Stations (Remuneration) Regulations 1989 shall be amended as follows—

(a) for the maximum fees of £88.00 and £89.25 allowed under paragraph 1(1)(a) there shall be substituted the maximum fees of £87.60 and £90.00;

(b) for the maximum fees of £90.75 and £92.00 allowed under paragraph 3(a) there shall be substituted the maximum fees of £91.20 and £92.40.
