Section 1Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st August 1996.

Section 2Amendment of the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Regulations 1968

Paragraph (1) of regulation 10 of the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Regulations 1968 (transaction of private business by registration officers) is hereby revoked.
