Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (School Performance Information) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 24th July 1996.

(2) In these Regulations references to the principal Regulations are to the Education (School Performance Information) (Wales) Regulations 1995 .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Regulations

(1) Regulation 3(1) of the principal Regulations (interpretation) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In the definition of “the Document” there shall be substituted for “relating”“covering”, and “to” (in the second and third places where it appears) shall be omitted.

Section 3 Amendment of the principal Regulations

Schedule 1 to the principal Regulations shall be amended by the deletion of “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (k) of paragraph 15, by the insertion after sub-paragraph (l) of “and” and by the addition at the end of paragraph 15 of the following—

(m) achieved any grade from A–C in a GCSE English or Welsh examination (other than Welsh Second Language) and in both a GCSE Science examination and a GCSE Mathematics examination.

Section 4 Amendment of the principal Regulations

(1) Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations shall be amended as follows.

(2) There shall be inserted at the end of that Schedule the following—

(5) The information about vocational qualifications referred to in paragraph 3 above but in relation to a Part 1 Foundation GVNQ.

(6) The information about vocational qualifications referred to in paragraph 3 above but in relation to a Part 1 Intermediate GVNQ.
