Section 1Title and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Importation of Animals (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 29th July 1996.

Section 2Amendment

In the definition of “animals” in article 2(1) of the Importation of Animals Order 1977 , for the words “ruminating animals and swine”, there shall be substituted the words “ruminating animals, swine and elephants”.
